The Urquhart Cup Tournament
The annual Hexham Polo Tournament has been held at various locations throughout the Clubs’ history. This century the tournament became known as the “Urqhuart Cup”, due to the a-grade trophy donated by the Urquhart family in remembrance of Rod Urquhart, who played for the Club and sadly lost his life in WWI.
With some of the most sought after trophies in Australian polo, the Urquhart cup tournament attracts around 20+ teams annually. The main attractions being the:
Urquhart Cup - A grade - Open; Palmer Cup - B grade - 4 goal; Merrang Cup - C grade - 0 goal
